The service is available to residents 18 years and over who live in Teesside, Durham and Darlington area. The service is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week and provides an alternative to traditional crisis care. Offering, empathic, validating, and non-judgemental support, the service creates a safe space for people to talk about whatever is causing them distress, with experienced crisis staff. Listening service staff can also provide knowledgeable information about other local services and appropriate signposting advice, helping to make sure people receive the right support for problems they are experiencing.
