COVID-19 Vaccinations: Third routine doses

Medical research is suggesting that some people might not develop a good antibody response to their two dose COVID Vaccine. Therefore, we are inviting this group of people to have a third dose of vaccine.

The third dose is different to the booster dose. People who get a third dose, which can be given 8 weeks after their second dose, will also be invited to have a booster dose 6 months after their third dose.

The JCVI have listed the conditions and treatments that may lead to not developing a strong response to the vaccine which can be found here: https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/third-primary-covid-19-vaccine-dose-for-people-who-are-immunosuppressed-jcvi-advice/joint-committee-on-vaccination-and-immunisation-jcvi-advice-on-third-primary-dose-vaccination#advice
