Dr Kent is the practice’s Senior Partner. He works from both the Claypath Medical Centre and the University Health Centre. Dr Kent’s special interests include diabetes, mental health and substance misuse.

Dr Panke works primarily from the Claypath Medical Centre and his surgeries are usually held on Mondays and Thursdays. He is also trained in non-scalpel vasectomies and over the last 15 years has performed over 2,500 vasectomies. In addition he provides clinical leadership to the North Durham Clinical Commissioning Group.

Dr Dellar joined the practice in February, 2008.  He works from both the Claypath Medical Centre and University Health Centre. Dr Dellar undertakes the role of a GP Trainer and is the practice Prescribing Lead. He also takes a lead on research studies undertaken by the practice. He has a special interest in diabetes.

Dr Milne joined the practice in September, 2012, as a Salaried GP and became a GP Partner in January, 2016.  Dr Milne works from both practice surgeries. She is a GP Trainer and her special interests are in elderly care and gynaecology.

Dr Peat joined the practice as a Salaried GP on 1st September, 2016.  He works from both practice surgeries. Dr Peat’s special interests include minor surgery, joint injections and “Scalpel-free” vasectomies.

He is from Durham Dales and enjoys time outside running, cycling and walking his Bedlington terrier.

Dr Smith joined our practice as a Salaried GP on 13th March, 2017.  He works from both practice surgeries. Dr Smith’s special interests are in IT, Clinical Commissioning, and Frailty.

MB BS 2012 (Newcastle); BSc; PhD; MRCGP Dr Elliott joined the practice on 8th August, 2017, as a Salaried GP on the GP Career Start Scheme. He will be known to some patients as he recently completed his GP training as a Registrar in the practice. He works from both practice surgeries. Dr Elliott’s special interest is in medical education.

Dr Mason joined the practice as a Salaried GP on 8th December, 2014.  He works from both practice surgeries.

Dr Helen Taylor joined the practice as a Salaried GP on 16^th April, 2020.  She will be known to some patients as she trained as a GP Registrar in the practice. Dr Taylor works from both practice sites.

Dr Cooke joined the practice as a Salaried GP on 17th January, 2022, having previously worked as a GP in Hetton-le-Hole. Dr Cooke works from both practice sites. His special interest is in medical education.

Dr Desai joined our practice as a Salaried GP on 1st December, 2020. He works from both practice surgeries.  Dr Desai’s specialist interest is in Mental Health.

Dr Manjula joined our practice as a Salaried GP on 3rd March, 2021.  She works from both practice surgeries.  Dr Manjula’s special interest is in contraception and sexual health.

Dr Rohini Desai joined our practice as a Salaried GP on 3rd April, 2023, having completed her GP training with our practice.  She works from both practice surgeries.  Dr Desai’s special interests are in  Women’s Health, Teaching and Clinical Leadership.

Dr Richard Bainbridge joins our practice as a Salaried GP on 21st November, 2023.  He will work from both practice surgeries.  Dr Bainbridge’s special interests are in under/post-graduate training and lifestyle medicine.
