Some patients are at higher risk of becoming seriously unwell with Covid-19. If you are eligible, you may be able to receive antiviral or antibody treatment to reduce the risk of hospitalisation.
Who can get treatment?
You may be eligible if you:
- Are in a high-risk group (see the NHS list here)
- Have Covid-19 symptoms
- Have tested positive for Covid-19
- Are within 5 days of both your positive test and the start of symptoms
How to access treatment
- You can self-refer (over 18s only) by emailing: [email protected]. Please include your name, date of birth and telephone number.
- Your GP practice or NHS 111 can also refer you.
A pharmacist will assess your suitability remotely.
If you qualify, they will prescribe treatment, which can be collected from your local community pharmacy.
👉 If you think you may be eligible, act quickly. Treatments work best when started as soon as possible after symptoms begin.
